Our Work

Three branches, one purpose

Medical relief is where we began and where most of our effort goes. Education and sports grew from the confidence that work gave us.

Phase 1 · Medical relief

Seating that fits the person

For a child with cerebral palsy or an adult recovering from a spinal cord injury, the right seat changes everything: posture, comfort, the ability to eat, learn and take part in family life.

At the All India Institute of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Haji Ali, we manufacture specialised seating devices and accessories. Each patient is evaluated by the Institute first, and the device is then given free or at a subsidised rate.

You are welcome to visit the Institute and see our work.

How a device reaches a patient

From evaluation to everyday use

Step 1

Evaluation

The patient is assessed by the Institute's team to understand their condition and seating needs.

Step 2

Manufacture

We make the specialised seating device and accessories at the Institute.

Step 3

Handover

The device is provided free or at a subsidised rate, based on the Institute's evaluation.

Phase 2 · Education

Partners in a student's growth

We actively support young students in their educational journey. We are now expanding our reach to identify more promising students, so we can nurture their talent and stay with them as they grow.

Phase 3 · Sports

Sport for every age

Encouraged by our seating and education programmes, we have moved into sports development, starting with young and promising players. We also organise competitive events that keep the wider community active, such as the Maharashtra State Masters Table Tennis Tournament.

Help someone sit, study or play with dignity

Every contribution to Kalpavruksha goes into seating devices, student support and sports for people who need a hand up. Donations qualify for tax deduction under Section 80G.
